I ordered the original maker’s battery, why take the chance of ruining equipment worth over $800.00 with an off-brand battery. Of course, I paid more. But I got what I wanted, NO surprises. It does exactly what it should and I don’t have to worry about about my camera.

I am at best an amateur photog. I bought this as I was going to a friend’s wedding and wanted some back up. After the initial charge this battery lasted through the entire rehearsal dinner(photo session), wedding pics, wedding, after party and all the excitement in between. I was using an IS lens in available (low light) situations for most of the event. I thought that was pretty impressive.
The product got to me very fast considering I am deployed in the middle east, Thanks Amazon!!!
The battery came in original new package, and works fine. It seems a bit crazy to have to pay this much for a camera battery, but I wanted original manufacturer equipment, and not an off-brand.
Easy to charge, holds charge well, works for a very long time without worrying about anything. Great product

This was a great addition to the T1i. It takes great action shots and the autofocus is great even on moving targets.
For the price, you are getting a good deal. Is it the best lens out there? Not by a long shot. But it is a solid value as far as a hefty zoom lens goes. Unless you are going semi-pro, this is a very good lens for the pro-sumer.
I am very happy with this lens, especially outdoors. It is nice to be able to get closer pictures of birds and other things I enjoy. Indoors I will have to practice more as some of the images are blurry. The lens is built very well and easy to use. Also the price is very reasonable.
This is a great lens for the money. I shot a graduation (outside) in a football stadium recently. It did everything I asked of it. My shots were great; at least I think so, and since I am not trying to sell them, what I think reigns supreme. I look forward to future shoots.
This lens is great. Been using it for some time now with very impressive results. Colors and saturation are amazing, clarity is perfect. I honestly don’t see the advantage of spending $1000+ on a L series lens when looking through pics taken with this lens and an L series lens leaves me not knowing the difference between the two…
The AF is also quite fast and accurate. Nice lightweight lens that is pretty compact in size and takes awesome pictures.
I read reviews before purchasing to find people commenting on washed out colors… I’m just not seeing it. If the pictures had anymore color they’d be well over-saturated. This may be just my experience, but this lens is highly recommended!
This is a great bag. Really nice quality and all the compartments are perfect for storing accessories. I can just barely fit in my 50d, 24-70 with hood, 50mm, speedlite 580, and small accessories (manuals, charger, extra cards, batteries, filters, cleaners, etc)

This Canon SLR Bag has worked out perfectly for me. It has adjustment walls inside and plenty of room for the Camera and 2 lenses, plus a few accessories. The Hard flooring and padded sides do a fine job of protecting the Camera and lenses. Very well made. I’m completely satisfied with this purchase. Amazon is the greatest. I purchased this camera at Target, it was the last one on the shelf. I got a great price but then I realized why. as I purchased the cf card (in another place since they were out) I noticed the infamous “Err CF” message: the pins were bent. But not only..I decided (shame on me for not returning it) to ship the camera to Canon, I thought it would be fixed for free and then it would be ok. I received the camera back and for a while it’s been working fine. Then it started giving that message again, every now and then, to the point that it was hard to take pictures. I shipped the camera back to Canon and they wanted to charge me for the repair. They said the pins were bent. THEY WEREN’T!! There is a problem with the firmware/hardware in the card reading/writing process. Some cameras have it some don’t. I wouldn’t reccomend this camera.
I know that these are no longer on the open market, so my review is simply to explain why I think these are an excellent value on the used market.
Bottom line is this - unless you are going to blow up your photos to poster sized, the 8MP XT is a great choice. The upgrades to later versions give you a larger display screen, sure, but the basic functionality doesn’t change much for at least two generations. While I’d like to be able to preview the picture in the display (which you can’t do on this model), the quality of photos as well as the excellent feature set (all laid out in other reviews) make this an excellent choice.
Combined with the incredible array of excellent lenses, the compact size, excellent battery life and great feature set make the Rebel XT a great choice on the used market.
